Heart of Gold began as a commissioned piece for my Aunt's business.

After reviewing my artwork, she approached me about creating a painting specifically for her brand. I spent time developing the piece, blending my signature patterns and colors with a design centered around warmth, positivity, and connection.

When I presented the finished artwork, she explained that it wasn't quite what she had envisioned for the business itself. However, despite not being the right fit for the original purpose, she genuinely loved the painting.

Rather than rejecting it, she decided to keep it.

The funny part is that somewhere along the way, neither of us focused on the payment. I never named a final price, and the conversation simply moved on. The painting found its home before the transaction was ever completed.

What remained wasn't a business deal but a reminder that art can still create value even when it doesn't fulfill its original purpose.

Today, Heart of Gold remains in a private collection as a symbol of appreciation, family, and the unexpected paths a painting can take after leaving the studio.
