The Alleyway Sale

This painting was sold during Ink the Bay 4, a tattoo convention that almost fell apart before it began. I had agreed to split a booth with another vendor, but on the day of the event she never arrived and never paid for the space. After finding my own ride and arriving at the venue, I learned I was unexpectedly responsible for the booth costs. To make matters worse, I was set up in an alley beside the venue with very little foot traffic. Most vendors struggled to make sales throughout the event. On the third day, while walking through the convention, I noticed a competitor in a tattoo contest with a large Aries ram tattoo across his chest. I introduced myself, showed him the painting, and convinced him to walk out to my display. He became my only sale of the event. It wasn't the biggest sale, but it covered my portion of the booth and turned a difficult weekend into a victory.
