First Spray-Painted Running Shoes

After receiving a collection of shoes from my father, I wanted to explore new techniques without risking the pairs I valued most. I picked up an inexpensive pair of running shoes and began experimenting with spray paint for the first time. The colors and design came together exactly as I imagined, but the curing process revealed an important lesson: creating wearable art required more than artistic vision—it required understanding materials, preparation, and durability. These shoes became one of my earliest lessons in turning art into functional design.
