Trippy Star Flower

Trippy Star found its home during one of the most unpredictable chapters of my artistic journey.

While traveling to an art event in Pass-a-Grille, my rental car broke down in St. Petersburg. Refusing to give up on the event, I continued on foot, transporting dozens of paintings across the city with the hope of still making it there.

Along the way, a local real estate investor named Todd stopped to help. He gave me a ride to the island, helped me find a place to set up, and later purchased another painting from my collection.

Following his recommendation, I set up outside what I believed was a vacant building. After about forty-five minutes, the property's new owner approached me. The building had recently been purchased and renovated and was only days away from reopening.

After hearing my story, the owner not only allowed me to remain for the day but complimented my artwork, shared his business card, and invited me to return in the future with advance notice.

Later that day, his business partner, also named Dave, arrived and understandably questioned why an artist with a table full of paintings was set up outside their newly renovated beachfront property. After confirming the situation with his partner, the conversation shifted from concern to encouragement.

We spent time discussing art, real estate, investing, and the pursuit of building something meaningful. Before leaving, Dave purchased Trippy Star and offered advice that helped me continue moving forward.

That sale provided the funds needed to secure another rental vehicle the following day. From there, I continued working and eventually drove my way out of St. Petersburg.

What began as a breakdown became a reminder that persistence often attracts unexpected opportunities.
